Crimp & Jump Ring

Hints & Tips - Closing a jump-ring easily and effectively
Sometimes a jump ring can be a bit frustrating; without soldering, there is always that vulnerable 'cut' in the metal that can let your stringing slip through - a solution to this is to use a tube crimp over the gap.

Having opened your jump ring and slipped on a tube crimp, close this gently and fit the ends of the metal together as snugly as you can.
Squeeze firmly with your pliers.
The end product - this also works with larger beads and it is certainly worth experimenting as a variety of decorative effects can be obtained.
